Radio Controlled Helicopters - What's the disagreement between 2 Channels, 3, 4, 5 and 6 Channels?

All radio controlled helicopter enthusiasts will tell you that flying Rc helicopters is the most curious and thrilling of all Rc models. Cars, trucks, tanks, boats and robots are all exiguous to forward/backward and left/right movement but radio controlled helicopters can have full technicolor, surround-sound,3D maneuverability. The only limitation to your exhilaration and flying satisfaction is your skill, the space ready and the sophistication of your Rc helicopter model.

So what is it exactly that enables your heli to accomplish complex aerial acrobatics?

RC Helicopter

In short, it's the whole of channels that can be controlled by you - the more you have, the greater the maneuverability of your Rc helicopter.

But don't be fooled into thinking that more is better. Flying a model helicopter is every bit as complex and skillful as the flying the real thing. Just because your heli is smaller in scale doesn't mean that the laws of aerodynamics change! To accomplish prosperous flight, all criteria remain the same. However, flying a model does have the benefit of being able to start with a basic set of controls and work your way upward to the Full Monty and this is achieved by mastering an expanding whole of channels.

But first, you will need to understand that each channel controls a separate servo mechanism in your model. And for those of us who find it helpful to understand how a thing works, it's beneficial to know that a servo is a mechanical device that controls the movement of an element by 'pushing' it with a lever. You can control the degree of 'push' this lever exerts on a servo from the controls on your transmitter handset. The greater the servo's 'push' the bigger the resulting movement of the element it is acting on. So, to move the angle of the tail rotor, for example, you need a channel to control the tail servo.

So, as each conveyable element on an Rc helicopter requires its own servo, you will also need an extra channel for each one. By expanding your quality to fine-tune the interaction of each servo via the channel controls on your handset, you will be able to yield an increasingly wide range of aerial movements for your radio controlled helicopter.

So here's a basic list of the differences in the middle of the numbers of channels on a radio controlled helicopter:

2 Channels furnish you with the quality to control two servo mechanisms, giving you the quality to control movement up and down (rotor blade speed) & left and right, (rear rotor, directional controls). 3 channels give you the two movement controls, above, but with the supplementary control of curious backwards and forwards (cyclic control). 4 channels give control over the throttle, elevator, aileron, rudder, improving on the maneuverability of the above, fixed pitch controls. 5 channels are rarely found, giving way to the more common 6 channel model. These supplementary channels give skilled flyers the quality to accomplish true, 3D aerial movements by adding public pitch and gyro gain control into the mix.

It can all get very complicated!

So which is the best choice for you? Well, if you are just starting out with radio controlled helicopters, stick to the 2 channel models at first. Learn to expert the basic movements first before progressing straight through the ranks, right up to the impressive but curious 6 channel models. Anything you decide, have fun with your Rc helicopter, fly safely and enjoy improving your flying skills!

Helicopters For Sale or How to Buy a Used Helicopter at Helicopter Auctions

If you want to buy a helicopter, the internet has come to be a great source of information and contacts. Many manufacturers have websites describing their helicopter models in detail, and sometimes rare bargains can be found when helicopters are sold at government or police auctions.
New helicopters range from colse to 0,000 for a small chopper with two seats, to a larger, multi-passenger model for 0,000 and more. Used helicopters for sale vary in size, price and year. It depends on whether you are finding for a domestic or work helicopter or if you desire a used military helicopter. If you find buying a new helicopter is a bit beyond your budget, you might reconsider leasing one, or finding for an auctioned one. Some benefits of leasing are: enjoying benefits of rights without a huge expenditure. However, leasing incurs indispensable running and guarnatee costs, and the helicopter technically does not belong to you.

Some of the most uncut and favorite helicopters comprise the Robinson R22 and R44 series, or Bell and Hughes helicopters for those with a larger budget. Helicopter auctions often also highlight used military and police helicopters such as the Bell Uh-1. More generally, light civil helicopters can be divided into three categories:

RC Helicopter

Light piston-engined types - if you want a cheap personal helicopter for two, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 would be your choice. They can fly at about 80-110 mph. With a minimal seating capacity and small size, these helicopters are light, easy to fly, and easy to maneuver. Surprisingly, the light piston-engined helicopters use a more high-priced fuel than that of the kerosine based turbine engines but they consume less fuel. However, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 are less consuming for for lease and corporate use. They are more popular, however, for training and personal use.

Light turbine helicopters - McDonnell Douglas 500E, Eurocopter Squirrel and the (Agusta-) Bell Jet Ranger are widely used colse to the world because of their practicality, comfort, size, speed, and versatility. Their look is sporty and their execution is pretty good, any way they are ordinarily substantially more high-priced than their piston-engined relatives.

Twin-engined helicopters - Stronger, safer, faster and more versatile helicopters comprise the likes of the Dauphin, Sikorsky S-76, Agusta 109, and Eurocopter Twin Squirrel. These are powered by 2 engines and have flight capabilities above those of single-engine helis. These are the favorite selection for the high-end shop with a much higher price bracket.

Helicopters from all of these categories can be found at auctions. Helicopter (and normal aircraft) auctions are typically held by the government (federal or state), the police, Irs, or sometimes also banks who seize helicopters as collateral. An auction may be a great opportunity to save a lot of money while getting a ability helicopter. However, there are some tricky issues and pitfalls to them as well, which one should pay concentration to.

- when purchasing a helicopter at an auction, start by observing. Attend the preview (usually held a while before the auction, and open to the normal public). Stay cool while the auction, and decree what you want to bid beforehand. Never get into a bidding war, it's a surefire way to buyer's remorse.

- do not be too hasty. finding at some auctioned helicopters, you may get the feeling of a once-in-a-lifetime bargain, but in fact the shop is pretty large and great opportunities are colse to all the time. It is best to examine a few auctions first to get a feel of the process, and only actively start bidding once you have a good idea of the market.

- beware of any too-good-to-be-true claims. At an auction, odds are they are just that - not true. Liability for a distributor at a collective auction is relatively low, and two fine words - "As Is" - basically free the distributor of any responsibility. It is up to you to pinpoint them on indispensable statements and be wary of any outrageous promises.

- should you win the bid, insist on a written contract, and ask that all foremost figures and claims are mentioned (e.g. About prior owners or repairs, engine hours, or the timespan until you get the plane). Don't forget that the price you will pay is ordinarily higher than the winning bid. Most auctions comprise a 5-10% buyer's premium.

What Makes The Best Remote operate Helicopter?

What is the best remote operate helicopter?

I've been very interested lately in a lot of different models of Rc helicopter and as I've been doing my research trying to conclude which one to buy next, I've come to realize just how many different types of Rc choppers there are!

RC Helicopter

The first thing you need to conclude is either or not you want to buy an indoor chopper or an outdoor chopper. Now, an indoor chopper is strictly indoors and these can ordinarily be had for around -40 dollars. Outdoor choppers will run you more money but they are ordinarily larger and have great performance over all.

Keep in mind that with some outdoor choppers you won't be able to fly them inside at all. They are simply too big and wish too much room to maneuver to make flying them in a typical room unpractical. There are however some models that sort of blur the line in the middle of indoor and outdoor like the Madhawk 300 which is big sufficient to perform outside (as long as it's not Too windy) but small sufficient that you can custom indoors. Once you conclude on an indoor or outdoor model than you consider these types before making a purchase:

Double Co-Axial Choppers

These are your basic indoor "toy" helicopters. They are easy to fly, easy to mouth and will commonly furnish a great deal of fun while cruising around your apartment. They aren't remarkable for outdoors as the slightest zephyr will take them high into the air or smash them into the ground (usually causing a lot of damage!). They make a great conversation piece for your office and are exquisite for wasting a bit of time!

Single Co-Axial Choppers

Basically the same as the above except some of these are large sufficient to fly outdoors. They are stable sufficient that pretty much whatever can get them to hover and move send without much effort. Again these are beginner choppers.

Micro Rc Choppers

These are the ones that you're probably most used to finding these days. ordinarily they will fit in the palm of your hand and although the basic gear underneath is ordinarily the same, they come in a variety of styles together with military and market air craft. When they first appeared on the scene these choppers were in effect nothing more than cool finding toys that did not fly very well but with new advancements in the technology these choppers are Very flyable and are exquisite for beginner-intermediate users finding for an easy to fly chopper to hone their skills on.

4 and 6 Channel Choppers

These are the more developed choppers for population who are into modding and upgrading. Probably not a good first-time chopper as they are more costly and more prone to damage in the event of a crash (and trust me, you will crash them!).

2.4 Ghz Remote Systems

These days you should all the time try and go with a 2.4 Ghz remote system. This refers to the frequency that the choppers controls operate on and 2.4 takes up less current than the older systems. Meaning you get more flying time for each charge and in the world of Rc Helicopters, flying time is what it's all about!

The Best Chopper?

Well as you can see, it in effect depends on your level of skill and where you want to use it. But, from personal feel I would recommend: The Syma S107 for an Indoor Chopper and the Madhawk 300 for an indoor/outdoor chopper. Both are priced very reasonably and offer great potential for the money. Please check out my link below for more detailed reviews on both of those choppers as well as other great reviews on all sorts of Rc helicopters and replacement parts!

Cheers!
